Energy-Smart Solutions for Sustainability-Minded Businesses
The first section of the property was built in 1958 and served as Isku’s factory premises until its renovation.2 The property has 76,000 m² of heated floor space. Now renovated, it offers a wide range of production and office facilities. Both internal and external logistics connections are already in place.
Energy-smart solutions reduce the carbon footprint of the new Lahti Innovation Campus by 90% compared to buildings using conventional technologies. New business premises are being developed within the building’s robust structure, offering modern standards of comfort, functionality, and energy efficiency.
Lahti Innovation Campus’s energy system is based on an exceptionally efficient geothermal heat pump system that provides heating and cooling for the property. A solar power system has been installed on the roof, generating electricity used for purposes such as cooling the building and charging electric vehicles. The heat pumps have a capacity of 1,050 kW, equivalent to the combined output of more than 100 geothermal heat pumps in detached houses.
”Sustainability and sustainable development are fundamental pillars of Lahti Innovation Campus. Our commitment goes far beyond energy efficiency. We are developing Lahti Innovation Campus into the most attractive business campus in the Päijät-Häme region, welcoming all companies that value inspiring spaces, excellent services, and responsible community engagement. At Lahti Innovation Campus, the future is built through innovation.”
